Sox For Horses, Inc. has adopted Life Savers Wild Horse Rescue as one of the great horse rescue efforts we support. Their web site is wildhorserescue.org. Please go see the wonderful things they are doing for horses and contribute.
October is the fund raising event for Tennessee Horse Haven. We contributed over $350.00 in socks to help them raise money for their efforts. Their web site is horsehavenoftn.com. You couldn't help a nicer bunch of people who give their time, their resources and their love to abandoned and suffering horses. We will continue to do as much for this group as we can.
When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, we gave to the SPCA. Our thought was that so much money was going to the Red Cross, but who was helping all of the animals? We found that the SPCA was right in there doing everything they could to find and rescue animals abandoned and injured in the storm. They rescued any animal they could find and did a fantastic job of it. Sox For Horses, Inc. is now a contributor to Eyes of an Angel SPCA. This is a monthly contribution dedicated to animals they have rescued. The SPCA are our heros.
Over these last months, Sox For Horses, Inc. has donated to fund raisers to help injured riders, and to equine organizations who have asked for our help. Wind Chill, the little Tennessee Walker rescued from the frozen ground was the first of our efforts to begin changing the lives of desperate animals. As many of you know, Wind Chill was a national news story of a colt abandoned in the worst of winter, left to die with out food and water. His story can be found at theraindancegroup.com. This is another group of people dedicated to helping desperate horses.
The next rescue group we are adopting is Doberman Pinscher and Little Paws Rescue in Filmore, California.
Their web site is dobierescue.org. Ardis Braun is one of our great animal rescue heros. Ardis and her team of volunteers have rescued and placed over 9 thousand dogs since their beginnings with dog rescue. How is that for results!!! Ardis has given her life and all of her resources to helping dogs go from desperation to great loving homes. This is another wonderful rescue group and we hope you will send them some financial help. We love you Ardis!
If every animal lover in this country gave up one cup of Starbucks coffee or one lunch out a week, and at the end of the month took those saved proceeds and sent them off to the animal rescue fund of their choice, imagine how much could be done to help all of the animals in need. Even if you send $10.00 per month, you and many others can change the course of events for many many animals. It's that simple. It's that easy to do. It means that you have to put the money in an envelope and send it off. It's a simple thing to do to save an animal's life and it will make you happy knowing that something you did this month was very very special.
Sox for Horses, Inc. is a little company but we are dedicated to making a difference. If you have a rescue operation and are planning a fund raising even, please contact us. We will do all we can to help your efforts. We have donated far in excess of $2.00 for every pair of socks sold in either money or value since our beginnings. We have donated even if people seeking our help are not 501C3 organizations and that means we cannot deduct our contributions in many instances. We aren't going to choose one organization over another because of tax deductions. We will do all we can to help any horse rescue group. Please give something. Do something. But don't do nothing.

Sox For Horses, Inc. has created summer socks for horses! Summer Whinnys™ provide a safe, non-toxic barrier against biting insects. They are lightweight, cool on the legs, durable, and stay in place for hours. Take the “Cool Challenge” and wear them on your own legs before you put them on your horses. You will feel the cool! It is the construction of the knit that stops flies from biting through. If you are tired of seeing your horse’s legs torn up by biting flies regardless of how much insecticide you put on them, or if your horse suffers from allergies to fly sprays like ours do, Summer Whinnys™ are the perfect solution.
Summer Whinnys™ are offered in sizes for Warmblood/Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse/ Standard, Pony and Mini-A size/B size. Mini sizes are sold as a set of 3 pairs. All others are sold in sets, a pair for the front and a pair for the back. The sets come packaged as “Front Long” or “Knee High”. If your horse is less active, the Long Front Summer Whinnys™ provide protection over the knees. If your horse is active, the Knee Highs provide more ability to stay up and cover from the knee down to the hoof.

Once we have the fit exactly the way we want it, Sox For Horses, Inc. will have all four colors available for miniature horses.
Itty Bitty Whinnys™ will be offered in sets of two front and two back socks. Pairs cannot be offered at this time but then again, mini owners get a nice price break!
The price for a full set of IttyBitty Whinnys™ is $30.00.
These are the mini version of the Whinny Warmers™. The socks are designed to fit both A size and B size Minis.
